About this design
Belfry in Malayalam, for Kerala Christian weddings: a church wedding card in the words families use, from "വിവാഹ കൂദാശ" and "മിന്നുകെട്ട്" to a line from 1 Corinthians 13.
It opens on an engraved bell in its arch. Tap "മണി മുഴക്കൂ": the bell swings and a printing-press roller prints the invitation onto the page. Inside are hand-tinted engravings of a whitewashed church among palms, the vows, the first dance and two rings, then the order of the day like a church programme, directions to the church, a countdown and RSVP.
