About this design
Chapter One in Malayalam, for couples who grew up between library shelves. It uses the words a Malayalam book really carries (ഉള്ളടക്കം, ആമുഖം, അധ്യായം, പിൻകുറിപ്പ്, കൃതജ്ഞത) and stays respectful for elders. Guests arrive at a closed green hardback with both names stamped in gold. One press of പുസ്തകം തുറക്കൂ and the cover swings open, a marbled endpaper turns and the title page appears.
Inside, the photograph is the മുഖചിത്രം and the invitation is the dedication. The ഉള്ളടക്കം lists the celebrations: the couple’s story as the ആമുഖം, the music evening as the പൂർവരംഗം, the wedding as അധ്യായം ഒന്ന് and the reception as അധ്യായം രണ്ട്. A countdown, the venue with a footnote on dress, a reader’s card for replies and the guests as കൃതജ്ഞത follow, and the back cover says തുടരും…
