About this design
For couples who would rather make headlines than send a card. Guests find a folded newspaper in a red wrapper band; one press slips the band off, the paper unfolds and the front page fills the screen.
The masthead is a made-up paper named after the couple, with an edition line carrying the date. Beneath it run a banner headline, a lead story announcing the wedding, and the couple’s photo printed in newspaper halftone. A Stop Press box counts down to the day, the weather forecast promises a 100% chance of joy, and each celebration is a short news item in the day’s programme. The venue has its own report with directions, dress code and notes sit in the classifieds, and guests reply on a dashed cut-out coupon and see who else is in the guest list.
Cream newsprint, black ink and one spot of red, set in real columns on a laptop and one clean column on a phone, with light jazz playing. The sangeet, the reception and the couple’s story are optional.
