About this design
Gatsby Nights in Gujarati: a 1920s grand-hotel kankotri where every line guests read is in warm, courteous Gujarati. Guests arrive in the lobby, press લિફ્ટ બોલાવો, and the needle climbs from G to the star before the brass doors slide apart.
Upstairs the names stand in light Gujarati letters under the stepped arch, four plaques count down દરવાજા ખૂલવાને બાકી, and the celebrations are an ivory menu card. The cocktail jokes are rewritten as a મહેફિલ any family can enjoy: the sangeet is ખૂબ હલાવીને, ઠુમકા સાથે, the wedding ભેળસેળ વગર, વચનો સાથે. મહેફિલના નિયમો, the address and a મહેમાન રજિસ્ટર to check in follow.
