About this design
Kalyana Mandapam in Tamil: a thirumana azhaippithazh in deep green and gold where every line guests read is in respectful wedding Tamil, from the brass name plate on the temple doors to the nichayathartham, the muhurtham with the oonjal, and the varaverpu.
The carved doors and bell, the Tanjore-style painting under a gopuram, the kolam behind the families' note, the muhurtham countdown between pillars, the RSVP form and the instrumental music are the same as in the original design.
