About this design
Kamal Kunj, the lotus grove, is painted in the Pichwai tradition of Nathdwara: pink lotuses on a pond, round lotus leaves, white cows with bells and henna handprints, peacocks and jasmine garlands on a plain dusky rose cloth.
Guests arrive at a still pond with one closed bud. A tap sends ripples across the water, the petals unfold layer by layer, smaller buds open around it and garlands drop from above, then the bloom parts to show the couple under a flowering tree.
Inside, the celebrations grow along one lotus stem: a bud for the Haldi, a full bloom for the wedding, an open flower for the reception. The details float on the pond with a countdown on lotus leaves, followed by an RSVP form and a list of who is coming. Loved by Rajasthani, Marwari and Gujarati families, and by anyone who wants a serene, traditional invitation.
