About this design
A wedding reception invitation that feels like one long, warm dinner party. Painted in contemporary Indian gouache: deep emerald, terracotta, saffron, blush and candle gold on cream linen.
Guests find their own place setting from above: a gold-rimmed plate on a brass charger, a folded emerald napkin tied with a saffron silk ribbon and a sprig, and a candle flickering at the edge. Tap to untie the ribbon and the bow slips off, the napkin opens fold by fold, and a place card flips up to say your seat is ready. Then the view lifts away to the whole long table.
Inside, the page is the table itself. The evening is a printed menu of four courses, from welcome drinks and the couple's entry to dinner and dancing. The date and place sit on a reservation card with directions, the countdown is pressed into wax seals, and guests reply on an RSVP card with their meal preference: veg, non-veg or Jain. Cards are set down on the runner as you scroll, and candles light one by one.
