About this design
Pahadi Phere is for a Hindu wedding in the mountains: for pahadi families of Uttarakhand and Himachal, and for couples marrying at a hill station such as Mussoorie, Shimla, Nainital or Manali.
Guests first see thick dawn mist with only the tips of the pines showing. One tap and the sun rises behind the snow peaks, the sky warms to peach, the mist drifts apart ridge after ridge, birds cross the valley, and you walk forward over the crest into the invitation.
The page then travels through one day. At dawn the couple's names sit over a hand-painted varmala scene. In the pale morning the families write about the winding road up. A dotted trail leads past roadside milestones: haldi and mehndi in the morning, the pheras at dusk, a bonfire dinner at night. A wooden signpost points to the date, muhurat, venue and dress code, a countdown sits on four snow peaks, and guests reply at a lit window under the stars.
