About this design
Shubho Bibaho in Bengali: a Bengali Hindu wedding invitation worded the way a family writes its biyer card, from শুভ বিবাহ at the centre of the alpona to the request to come সবান্ধবে and bless the couple.
Gaye Holud, the wedding with Shubho Drishti and Mala Bodol, and Bou Bhaat unroll as Kalighat-style painted panels, with the lagna, a countdown, an RSVP with a guest list and Bengali instrumental music, exactly as in the original.
