About this design
Lagna Sohala in Hindi: the Warli-art Maharashtrian wedding invitation, written for Hindi-reading relatives and friends in warm, simple Hindi. The Marathi ceremony names stay recognisable (हळद / हल्दी, लग्न, सप्तपदी, स्वागत समारोह), so guests know exactly what they are coming to.
The terracotta mud wall, chalk-white figures, the spiral of dancers that opens the card, the village procession through the three celebrations, the countdown in four huts, RSVP with a guest list and the instrumental music are the same as in the original.
