About this design
Long Table in Punjabi: a reception invitation in Gurmukhi for Punjabi families who want the night after the wedding to feel like one long, warm dinner with everyone at the table. The wording is warm, spoken Punjabi: ਜੋੜੀ ਦੀ ਐਂਟਰੀ, ਰੱਜਵੀਂ ਦਾਅਵਤ, ਦੇਰ ਰਾਤ ਤੱਕ ਭੰਗੜਾ.
Guests find their own place setting: a gold-rimmed plate, an emerald napkin tied with saffron silk and a flickering candle. They untie the ribbon, the napkin opens fold by fold, a place card says ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਥਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ, and the view lifts to the whole candlelit table.
Inside, the evening is printed like a menu, the date and venue sit on a reservation card with directions, the countdown is pressed into wax seals, and guests reply with their meal choice: ਸ਼ਾਕਾਹਾਰੀ, ਮਾਸਾਹਾਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਜੈਨ.
