About this design
For couples whose love story deserves the big screen. Guests arrive in a dark auditorium: red velvet curtains are drawn, and a marquee ringed with chasing bulbs carries the couple’s names. One press rolls the film: an old leader counts three, two, one as the curtains part.
The picture opens on a film poster with the couple as its stars, a tagline and a billing block crediting both families. A clapperboard counts down to the premiere. Each celebration is an admit-one ticket stub on a strip of film, the couple take their bow in the opening credits, and their story is a film still from behind the scenes. The venue is the theatre, with directions and a red-carpet dress code, and guests reserve their seats at a box-office window and see who else is on the guest list. It closes on The End… of being single.
Near-black aubergine, velvet red, warm marquee gold and cream, with elegant evening jazz. The sangeet, the reception, the families’ names, the story and the dress code are optional.
