About this design
Shubh Sagai in Gujarati: an engagement invitation for a sagai, chandlo or ring ceremony, written in gracious, festive Gujarati. The evening is billed like an old cinema programme, with the customs a Gujarati family knows: અંક I ચાંદલો અને ગોળધાણા, અંક II વીંટી વિધિ, અંક III ભોજન અને નાચગાન.
The design is the same mint, blush, emerald and gold Art Deco poster: rings that glide together on the opening, a gold sunburst, doors that part, octagonal plates for the date, venue and dress code, a flip-clock countdown and a "પ્રવેશ પત્ર" ticket for replies with the guest list under it. The chandlo and the dinner can be left out, and the acts renumber themselves.
