About this design
Shubh Sagai in Marathi: an engagement invitation worded for a साखरपुडा, not a translated sagai card. The first act is the tila and the packet of sugar that gives the ceremony its name, the second the exchange of rings, the third dinner and celebration: अंक I टिळा आणि ओटी, अंक II अंगठी समारंभ, अंक III जेवण आणि जल्लोष.
The design is the same mint, blush, emerald and gold Art Deco poster, laid out like an old Mumbai cinema programme: rings that glide together on the opening, a gold sunburst, doors that part, octagonal plates for the date, venue and dress code, a flip-clock countdown and a "प्रवेशिका" ticket for replies with the guest list under it. The first and third acts can be left out, and the acts renumber themselves.
