About this design
For couples who love colour, craft and old glasshouses. Guests arrive in a dark room: a great window stands unlit, only its lead lines showing, with both names on a small plaque. Press Let the light in and the glass lights from the foot of the window to its crown, wisteria over a lake at sunrise, and the colour spills onto the stone floor.
Inside is a gallery of windows in the Art Nouveau manner, all drawn in glass and lead. The invitation is cut into a stone tablet beside a photograph in a leaded arch. Each celebration has its own light: a songbird for the sangeet, two blooms entwined for the wedding, a moon and lanterns for the reception. Then the story beside a tall wisteria light, two more photographs, a countdown in four roundels, the venue as a glass landscape, and a reply that adds a pane to the guests' own window.
Sapphire, amethyst, emerald, ruby and amber on near-black, with a calm harp. The sangeet, reception, story and dress code are optional.
