About this design
Stained Glass in Hindi, worded the way a family would write it rather than translated line by line: guests are सादर आमंत्रित, the great window is a झरोखा waiting for भोर, and a reply is a pane of काँच lit in the guest's name. It opens in a dark room with both names on a small plaque. Press उजाला आने दीजिए and the glass lights from the foot of the window to its crown, wisteria over a lake at sunrise.
Inside, every gathering has its own window: a songbird for the संगीत संध्या, two blooms entwined for the विवाह, a moon and lanterns for the स्वागत समारोह. Then the story, the photographs, a countdown in four roundels, the venue and the guests' own window. The wording is about light and glass only, with no ritual terms, so it suits any family.
