About this design
The Exhibition in Hindi, written in the words a Hindi gallery already uses (प्रदर्शनी, कक्ष, कृति, आगंतुक पुस्तिका) rather than translated line by line, with the dry humour kept. Guests arrive at a quiet gallery wall after hours: one framed work made of the couple’s initials, its wall label and a ticket. One press of प्रदर्शनी में पधारिए and the lights come up, the ticket is torn and you walk in.
Inside, the names are set very large like an exhibition title. Each celebration is a numbered कक्ष on a floor plan: संगीत, विवाह and रिसेप्शन. Framed photographs carry museum captions, light numerals count down to the doors opening, and replies are a ticket form with an आगंतुक पुस्तिका beside it.
आर्ट गैलरी की शैली में शादी का निमंत्रण: सफ़ेद दीवारें, बड़े अक्षरों में नाम, हर रस्म के लिए एक कक्ष, उलटी गिनती और जवाब भेजने का टिकट फ़ॉर्म। संगीत, रिसेप्शन, पहनावा और कहानी वैकल्पिक हैं।
