About this design
Firoza opens on a wall of cobalt and turquoise tiles with a cream medallion set into it, carrying the Bismillah and the couple’s names. Tap, and the tiles turn over from the centre outward like a ripple, revealing a moonlit Mughal garden inside a pointed tiled arch.
Every painting on the page is made in the style of Multani blue pottery, and each one arrives the same way: a three-by-three grid of glazed tiles turns away to show it. The mehndi evening, the Nikah under a canopy of white flowers and the walima feast follow in turn, then the day, time and place with directions inside a tiled panel, a countdown in eight-point stars, RSVP with room for a dua, and a night footer with the crescent moon.
Made for South Asian Muslim weddings; the mehndi and walima can be left out.
