About this design
Firoza in Hindi, for families who send their nikah card in Devanagari, written in the Hindustani families actually speak: "अल्लाह के फ़ज़्ल से", "क़ुबूल है", "दावत-ए-वलीमा" and a dua for the couple.
It opens on a wall of cobalt and turquoise tiles with the Bismillah on a cream medallion. Tap, and the tiles turn over to reveal a moonlit garden in a pointed arch. Inside are the मेहंदी, निकाह and वलीमा paintings, then the date, time and place with directions, a countdown, RSVP and who is coming.
