About this design
Firoza in Urdu: a nikah card written the way families write them, from "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم" and "اللہ تعالیٰ کے فضل و کرم سے" to a dua for the couple, set right to left in Nastaliq.
It opens on a wall of cobalt and turquoise tiles with a cream medallion. Tap, and the tiles turn over to reveal a moonlit Mughal garden in a pointed arch. Inside, the مہندی, نکاح and ولیمہ paintings each arrive as glazed tiles turning away, then the date, time and place with directions, a countdown, RSVP and who is coming.
