About this design
Overprint in Punjabi, written in Gurmukhi the way young Punjabis talk about print and gigs, not translated line by line: ਪਲੇਟ, ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨ, ਲਾਈਨ-ਅੱਪ, ਕਵਰ ਸਟੋਰੀ and ਪੋਸਟਰ stay as they are said, and the invitation itself is a ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸੱਦਾ that elders will be happy to read. Guests arrive at a sheet with only the blue plate printed. Press ਦੂਜਾ ਰੰਗ ਛਾਪੋ and the pink rolls in, snaps into place and the proof is ticked 2/2.
Inside is a small zine, ਵਿਆਹ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ, opening with ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਦੀ ਕਲਮ ਤੋਂ. The functions are a gig poster: ਸੰਗੀਤ with gidda and bhangra is the ਓਪਨਿੰਗ ਐਕਟ, ਵਿਆਹ the ਹੈੱਡਲਾਈਨਰ and the reception the ਆਫ਼ਟਰ-ਪਾਰਟੀ. Then the ਕਵਰ ਸਟੋਰੀ, two ਪੁੱਲ-ਆਊਟ ਪੋਸਟਰ, a countdown, the venue as a ticket, and a ਜਵਾਬੀ ਕੂਪਨ with the ਗੈਸਟ ਲਿਸਟ.
ਦੋ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਪਿਆ ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ: ਨੀਲਾ ਤੇ ਚਟਕ ਗੁਲਾਬੀ, ਜੋ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਜਾਮਣੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਲਾਈਨ-ਅੱਪ, ਕਾਊਂਟਡਾਊਨ, ਟਿਕਟ ਵਰਗਾ ਪਤਾ ਤੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਲਈ ਕੂਪਨ। ਸੰਗੀਤ, ਰਿਸੈਪਸ਼ਨ, ਕਹਾਣੀ ਤੇ ਡਰੈੱਸ ਕੋਡ ਛੱਡੇ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
