About this design
Shubh Sagai in Hindi: an engagement invitation for a sagai, ring ceremony or roka, written in warm, graceful Hindi with a little theatre in it. The evening is billed like an old Bombay cinema programme: अंक I रोका और तिलक, अंक II अँगूठी की रस्म, अंक III दावत और नाच-गाना.
The design is the same mint, blush, emerald and gold Art Deco poster: rings that glide together on the opening, a gold sunburst, lift doors that part, octagonal plates for the date, venue and dress code, a flip-clock countdown and a "प्रवेश पत्र" ticket for replies with the guest list under it. The roka and the dinner can be left out, and the acts renumber themselves.
