About this design
An engagement invitation for a sagai, ring ceremony or roka, drawn like a 1930s Bombay cinema: mint and blush walls, deep emerald, cream paper and fine brass lines.
Guests arrive at a tall stepped frame with two gold rings waiting apart. One tap and the rings glide together and interlock, a gold sunburst fans out behind them, and the frame parts like lift doors onto a poster of the couple.
Inside, the evening reads as a cinema playbill: Act I Roka & Tilak, Act II The Ring Ceremony, Act III Dinner & Dancing, each with its own illustration. Leave the roka or the dinner out and the acts renumber themselves. Then the date, the venue with directions, the dress code, a flip-clock countdown, and an “admit one” ticket for replies with a guest list under it. Soft instrumental music starts with the opening and can be muted at any time.
