About this design
Stained Glass in Bengali, written in the words Bangla keeps for light (আলো, ভোর, রঙিন কাচ) rather than translated line by line. Guests arrive in a dark room where a great জানালা waits for ভোর, with both names on a small plaque. One press of আলো আসতে দিন and the glass lights from the foot of the window to its crown, wisteria over a lake at sunrise.
Inside, every gathering has its own window: a songbird for the সংগীত সন্ধ্যা, two blooms entwined for the বিবাহ, a moon and lanterns for the প্রীতিভোজ. Then the story, the photographs, a countdown in four roundels, the venue, and a reply that lights one more কাচ in the guests' own window. The wording is about light and glass only, with no ritual terms, so it suits any family.
